Waste sorting:

We are very concerned that the packaging we receive in connection with the operation of the café is sorted as far as possible so that it can be given new life as either recycled products or upcycling. We therefore really appreciate if you, together with us, will do your utmost to help us sort bottles, plastics, food and mixed waste. We have set up dedicated trash cans.

We have received the Byebye Plastic certification – read more about byebyeplastic here. We think it is heartbreaking to see especially plastic waste on the beach and the consequences it has for the animals in the water and indirectly on us humans who live off those animals, as well as the refining oil that goes to produce the plastic. We therefore hope that you will help us keep Bornholm scenic and unique by making a small change yourself, if you see plastic or other rubbish on the beach, we would appreciate it if you picked it up!
